Crafting Killer Facebook Ads in The Attention Economy

April 02, 20242 min read

In today's digital age, facebook & Instagram have become the go-to place for businesses to connect with potential customers.

We live in an attention economy.

Meaning that “where attention flows money goes”

With all of this nosies going on, how do you make your ads stand out?

One of the key components is your ad copy – the words you use to get your message across.

You have to understand that it's not just about selling, it's about sparking interest and influencing action.

Here are some tips on crafting a captivating message for your Facebook ads:

Know Your Audience

Before you start trying to write anything.

It's important that you know exactly who you are targeting.

  • What are their pain points?

  • What kind of solutions are they looking for?

Tailor your message to them so that it resonates.

Be Concise and Clear

In the fast paced world of social media, attention spans are short.

Get to the point quickly and communicate your value proposition clearly.

Avoid too much jargon and overly complex words.

A rule of thumb I like to use to keep the reading level under grade 5.

This way you ensure you are able to get your point across to most people.

Highlight Benefits, Not Features

Instead of describing the features of your flooring services, focus on how those features benefit your potential customers.

Will flooring transform their home?

Make their life easier?

Paint a picture of the positive outcomes they can expect.

Create Urgency

Encourage action by adding a sense of urgency into your copy.

  • Limited time offers

  • Exclusive deals

  • Upcoming deadlines

These will motivate people to take action now, rather than later.

Include a Strong CTA (call to action)

Don't leave your audience hanging – tell them what you want them to do next.

Whether it’s:

  • “Book now”

  • “Learn more”

  • “Get quote”

Keep your CTA clear and concise

Remember writing effective ad copy is as much art as it is a science.

Try out different messaging approaches, analyze your results, and refine your strategy over time.

With time and practice you'll eventually master the art of creating compelling messages that drive results on Facebook.
